16-18 October 2009 – KIDEXPO, Paris, France
From October 16 to October 18, the One Health campaign focused on promoting biosecurity amongst pupils and students during the 3rd Edition of the KIDEXPO held in Paris. This year, the fair welcome 71.000 people, 50% more than last year. 60% of the visitors were between 4 and 14 of age.
Activities on the EU Roadshow Van were therefore focused on “learning by playing”. The Farmland computer game and the Animal Farm Origami leaflets met with success. Teachers took also the opportunity to check the pupils’ knowledge regarding rules about prevention of the introduction or spread of animal diseases in the European Union. None of the kids left the EU stand empty-handed. They were all rewarded for their efforts. Gives-away customized to the campaign’s colours were generously distributed.
